ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Generations has been providing design, installation, and services in the theatrical, entertainment, AV, and technology fields since 1993. From full theatrical system upgrades to TV Studio installations, the team at Generations specializes in fully custom and innovative technology packages that often exceed the expectation of clients.
Generations seeks to expand our team by bringing an entry-level, or higher, Electrical Engineer on-board who will bring new concepts and ideas to the table. The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers to develop theatrical lighting designs and will have a front row seat of seeing these designs come to life. This position is both technical and hands-on, meaning not only will this person have the opportunity to learn about light fixtures, consoles, etc., but they will also test and implement them in various lighting designs. Generations is an avid believer in growth, education and progression so continued education and hands-on training is offered and highly encouraged! The ideal candidate will be someone who has an appreciation for theatrical lighting design and a desire to join the continually developing theatrical technology industry.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Ability to learn, research, and develop

Hands-on experience and/or capability

Effective time management skills with minimal supervision
RESPONSIBILITIES

Bring innovative, creative, and evidence-based approaches to lighting system designs/solutions.

Collaborate with a group of engineers to determine the best lighting approach/design

Conduct site visits to gather lighting measurements, photos, and other pertinent data

Input data into computer modeling software to analyze lighting designs/solutions

Evaluate existing systems and develop system upgrade designs using modern technology

System commissioning, startup, programming, and training

Provide technical assistance with equipment procurement and installation logistics

Continuously research equipment development to ensure systems are designed with the most up-to-date technology
