Generations has been providing design, installation, and services in the theatrical, entertainment, AV, and technology fields since 1993. From full theatrical system upgrades to TV Studio installations, the team at Generations specializes in fully custom and innovative technology packages that often exceed the expectation of clients.

 

Generations seeks to expand our team by bringing an entry-level, or higher, AV Technician/Engineer on-board who will bring new concepts and ideas to the table. The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers to install/implement audio-visual systems and will have a front row seat of seeing their installation come to life. This position is both technical and hands-on, meaning not only will this person have the opportunity to learn about speakers, projectors, consoles, etc., but they will also test and implement them. Generations is an avid believer in growth, education and progression so continued education and hands-on training is offered and highly encouraged! The ideal candidate will be someone who has an appreciation for audio-visual design and a desire to join the continually developing theatrical technology industry.

REQUIREMENTS
 

  •  Bachelor's degree in an audio/visual related field.

  • Ability to learn, research, and develop​​​

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Hands-on experience and/or capability

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Effective time management skills with minimal supervision

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Collaborate with a group of engineers to determine the best AV approach/design

  • Conduct site visits to gather measurements, photos, and other pertinent data

  • Input data into computer modeling software to analyze sound distributions/designs/solutions

  • System commissioning, startup, programming, and training

  • Provide technical assistance with equipment procurement and installation logistics

  • Continuously research equipment development to ensure systems are designed with the most up-to-date technology​​​​
