Linden High School

Linden High School’s TV studio upgrade was our first full studio new build, giving us a blank canvas to create a modern media production space and we had a lot of fun bringing it to life! With content creation and podcasting on the rise, we designed a space that gives students real, hands-on experience with professional-grade tech for broadcasting, filmmaking, and digital media. The major highlight of the space is a 35’x9’ curved LED video wall, delivering a high-impact, customizable backdrop for productions. The studio is equipped with an ETC Ion Xe 20 console, ETC ColorSource fresnels, Source Four LED spotlights, and fos/4 panels, all supported by a 6’x6’ rigging grid for versatile lighting control. The audio system includes JBL loudspeakers, an Allen & Heath Avantis Solo mixer, a Yamaha TIO stage box, and DPA and Sennheiser microphones, ensuring high-quality sound for both live and recorded productions. For video and broadcasting, the space is outfitted with Blackmagicdesign Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 cameras, an ATEM M/E Advanced Panel 20, HyperDeck Studio 4K Pros, and Prompter People teleprompters, all integrated with an Apple Mac Mini M2 Pro system. Recognizing the growing demand for podcast production, we included a dedicated podcasting area featuring SHURE microphones, a RODE podcaster mixer, and Audio-Technica headphones, giving students a professional setup for creating audio content. As digital media keeps evolving, this studio sets students up to explore, create, and produce at a professional level—whether they’re behind the camera, in front of the mic, or running the whole show.
