We recently worked with Di Cara Rubino Architects to renovate the main auditorium and convert the former theater rehearsal room into an esports arena at Manchester Regional High School. The main auditorium now serves as a fully equipped space for live performances and events while the rehearsal room has been transformed into a dedicated esports gaming and streaming center.

A standout feature of the auditorium is its 12’ x 34’ MAXHUB LED video wall—the largest installed in any New Jersey school—providing a high-resolution backdrop for performances, presentations, and events. The space also features an ETC Ion Xe 20 console with dual touchscreen monitors, an ETC lighting system with ColorSource spotlights, PARs, and cyclorama fixtures, and RGB architectural lighting in the coves with DMX control. The rigging system includes an ETC Prodigy Hoist with a Quick Touch controller, and the audio system is powered by JBL speaker arrays, digital audio amplifiers, an Allen & Heath SQ5 mixer, a stage box, and a full set of Sennheiser microphones. To support live production, the setup also includes Vaddio PTZ cameras, an Apple Mac Mini M2 Pro system, and a Blackmagicdesign ATEM Mini Pro live stream switcher. A custom-built rolltop desk houses all lighting, video, and audio controls, making operation seamless.

The esports arena, previously the theater rehearsal room, is now a fully competitive gaming and live streaming space. It features an ETC ColorSource 20 console, DMX relay panel, and fixed LED PAR and fresnel fixtures. The audio system includes EAW compact speakers, digital audio amplifiers, a Behringer X32 mixing console, and a Sennheiser mic set, while the video setup features a 12’x7’ MAXHUB LED wall with 36 modules (2.5mm pixel pitch), a Vaddio PTZ camera, and a Mac Mini M2 Pro with a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro switcher. The space is completed with custom portable desks and Xpression gaming chairs, allowing for a flexible and professional gaming environment.
