Summary

While upgrading the stage lighting at Ridgefield Memorial High School was the primary goal of the project, the need for safe and modern rigging quickly took precedence. The new rigging system utilized dead-hung rigging techniques, using pipes and support structures that were carefully selected based on their weight-bearing capacity and size. This ensured that the rigging was not only safe but also capable of accommodating various stage setups and productions.

Following the successful implementation of the rigging system, the project moved on to the installation of state-of-the-art stage light fixtures. This lighting setup featured a combination of fixed spotlights and PAR lights, as well as dynamic moving spotlights. The result was a captivating and immersive experience for both performers and audiences, bringing the school's stage lighting up to modern standards. This project also included the design and integration of new front-of-house lighting. This front of house lighting was carefully engineered to provide optimal three-point illumination for the stage and orchestra pit, enhancing visibility and the overall quality of productions.

To complete the transformation, a new projection screen and an 8.5k lumen laser projector were added. These additions not only enhanced the school's audiovisual capabilities, but also complemented the upgraded lighting and rigging systems, resulting in a comprehensive and cutting-edge stage experience.
