Summary

Garfield High School’s auditorium received a full technical upgrade that brought new life to the space and gave students and staff a much stronger production setup for performances and events.

We started by replacing the outdated rigging with a new dead-hung rigging system and front-of-house lighting position, creating a safe and reliable structure for stage lighting. The lighting system was rebuilt with ETC control infrastructure centered around an ETC Ion console and updated DMX distribution. New ETC ColorSource LED fixtures now provide flexible stage lighting, while dimmable LED work lights make the space easy to use for rehearsals, meetings, and everyday activities.

House lighting throughout the auditorium was also replaced with dimmable LED fixtures, improving brightness and control while making the room far more versatile. Additional LED aisle lighting was installed to improve visibility and safe movement during performances.

The audio system was upgraded with a professional loudspeaker system, digital mixing console, stage box, wireless microphones, choir mics, and stage monitors to deliver clear sound across the entire auditorium.

To round out the space, the theater now includes a high-output laser projector and large projection screen for presentations and visual content. A new rolltop control desk at the rear of the auditorium brings all lighting, audio, and video controls into one clean, organized production area.
