Summary

The Pearl River High School Theater has undergone a transformative upgrade that has revitalized its performance capabilities. Among the many enhancements, our team took on the task of modernizing the theater's audio infrastructure. Our approach began with a thorough evaluation of the existing sound setup. Through numerous sound level calculations and decibel distribution tests, we honed in on the precise speaker selection that would optimize sound quality and coverage. The result was a sound system that not only met but exceeded expectations, enriching the audience's auditory experience. In addition to the carefully chosen speakers, our sound system upgrade included a professional 24-fader mixing console. This console allows sound operators to craft immersive soundscapes and capture every nuance of a performance. To ensure seamless communication and coordination during productions, a clear com system was integrated which interconnects the control desk operators, stagehands, performers, etc.

Complementing the remarkable audio upgrade was an equally impressive theater lighting overhaul. We introduced a blend of fixed and moving spotlights, par lights, and cyclorama lights. This dynamic combination of lighting elements transformed the visual aspect of performances, immersing the audience in a vibrant and captivating ambiance.

To complete the project, our team designed and installed a sleek rolltop desk at the rear of the auditorium. This custom-built serves as a secure storage solution for the light and audio control boards, ensuring their
protection and ease of access when needed.
